Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapy
“Psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy is a journey inward.” — Ella Sharpe
And yet — the journey inward is made with attention and sensitivity to the world we live in, a world increasingly marked by oppression, division, intolerance, racism, social and economic inequalities, and environmental destruction.
Psychotherapy works on emotional and psychical levels to process and transform our experience of this world, allowing us to be more with and in it, to be in it in ways that free up stuck energy or that bind energy that is free-floating. In this work together, we aim to ease suffering, find transformation, and move toward our selves with compassion.
“Our thoughts are at once clouds and stones.”
— Michael Eigen, The Psychotic Core
